I'm not sure if I'm missing out on something or what but I can't even get past the first challenge. I feel it's just ridiculous. If I go for a pass I'm sacked or fumble before the ball can reach my qb and running plays are no different. I have not even got the chance to throw the ball and same with running the ball. My team is an 81 overall and my line has 83 Saturday with 80-82 Tackles and Guards. It's just beyond me on what I should do.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Saturday is trash; I’m moving on from him. Put your tokens on someone else. I’m trying Troy Vincent out.

With an NMS lineup, I needed to play error free, and get a little bit lucky on defense.

I got absolute minimum return on the 15/15 reward, which was a gut punch for the irritation I endured.

I got 3/4 of the way done with an 80/81 OVR team.

It is difficult because of how bad defenses are to start the year.

I watched a video of someone playing like an ass running punt block 8 up and bring his returner (Ward) up to rush the QB. It worked some of the time. He also was running a bunch of gun bunch plays like verticals.

Field goal block and user the MLB and go offsides and let the opponent score. The TD doesn’t count against the objective. Get the Miami playbook and run the gun split close pro, rpo read cheat wrap go. Also, Pistol Deuce Close rpo read cheat wheel flat works well with a speedy TE. The gun split close play is easier for 2 point conversions.

I used this method to beat the last two challenges and it was pretty easy. The key to the last challenge is don’t leave too much time on the clock for the other team team to beat you.

Saturday is a must have imo. But because of free 82 Fredrick, I actually use him at LG. Free aka 82 LT, Free fp RG, free Boom RT from 1 coin glitch Day. I'm actually almost done with these challenges, super tough but obtainable.

For those of us that didn't get the glitch, well, life is much harder.

When it comes to offensive line, you'll want to focus on the following skills. Obviously physicals (such as weight and strength will always be important on both lines), but what truly sets O-linemen apart is as follows:

  1. Pass Block Power (PBP) -- this is calculated against the pass rusher's Power Move (PMV) stat
  2. Pass Block Finesse (PBF) -- this is calculated directly against the pass rusher's Finesse Move (FMV) stat
  3. Run Blocking (RBK) -- i don't really understand how the various Power versus Finesse actually work, but as long as this is high, one or the other (Power vs Finesse) can be pretty much whatever

To quote someone much more knowledgeable than myself, "there is absolutely no difference in how your O linemen play the run with Finesse vs power. As long as one is high, and the run block/weight/strength is too they will play the run EXACTLY the same." [source] -- good, in depth read if you want to geek out over video game blocking.

OVR rating doesn't mean anything and it has no impact on how these cards will play. For example, there's some 80 OVR cornerbacks (such as Tariq Woolen: 6'4" 84 SPD and meets the minimum 80 ZCV threshold we'd hope to see) that are better than many 83-84 OVR cards. I know that doesn't help answer your question, but you might be able to use this information to find some true budget beasts. Need a decent USER (SUBLB) on the cheap, maybe try this 84 SPD Troy Anderson, it's exactly who i used for the first week or two.

I guess as far as specific advice, "Speed kills" -- you could use some form of this search (All players 70-83 OVR, ranked by Speed). Maybe you can pluck a few cards from this list and add them to your squad. Invest most of your coins into the QB, the rest can be guys. PLEASE let me know any questions, or if any of this actually made any damn sense or was useful on our never ending quest to git gud. You got this, man. Good luck, but holy yer not alone -- i've never sweated so much against the CPU. Even lost a Solo Battle last week, oof. 17-14 crushing defeat, i tossed a late pick.

If madden coding hasnt changed,, awareness is the single most important stat on a lineman,, a center specifically..

If passing, come out in a strong close formation, block the fb, and rb (this will give you extra time to throw down field). I found the cpu defense played match or man coverage, so have a deep post on one side of the field and a slant going the opposite way, and you should be able to pass your way down the field with ease (for clarity I did this last week with an o-line that was collectively 79 ovr all, and 74 ovr fb).

Yes, thank you -- Awareness is super important, for the Center, as you pointed out, as it has the ability to essentially "replace" the lowest Awareness rating on your O-line with the Center's Awareness stat. And has anything changed? Heh, you funny. Not sure EA is capable of making any meaningful changes, even if they wanted (they do not, because that requires effort and technical skill, all things which they are sorely lacking).

However, all that being said, when i'm starting fresh and selecting big boys to block for my QB, i and focused almost exclusively on; PBP, PBF & RBK and anything after that is gravy. I am trying to replace Penei Sewell at LT with the new AKA that dropped, i purchased him last evening for less than training value, so i think i might even be able to break even on this swap. Wanted to make an upgrade before attempting to commit to the run game. That new CJ2K is kind of nasty as he zooms around and spins his way, often into the end zone.

Most people don't understand actual football, so the difference between power blocking and finesse blocking can be a challenge to comprehend. As I stated, I believe Saturday is a must have because of his awareness rating, but because I've filled my roster with the various free 82s, I'm actually rocking fredricks free 82 at center. Blows my mind the people complaining at this game. It was half the grind of cut, and I have 400k in the bank with no immediate need, although I REALLY want Kam for that boosted hit power, free 82 SS Norton is very solid. I have a maxed CMC boosted 86 at hb and he's destroying dudes right now.i had a NASTY spin on Kam for a 60 yard tuddy last night. The grind continues.

I have walked through cut like it's nothing and I am still using an 80 overall team. I have completed and fully starred everything in the game so far. I feel like Madden is way more challenging compared to last year.

I'm still only a 78 overall in cut,, but my budget team is STACKED due to the chemistry boosts.. 100% agree madden is harder off the bat, but i gotten to the point of running the same D and O in both games to keep things consistent . Both games are solid game play wise, content timing has been atrocious
